Spring is here and it's an ideal time for letting your chameleon spend some time outside.
Use caution though so your chameleon is not getting direct sunlight. Even in indirect sunlight, ( in the shade, with a cover), your chameleon will benefit from the nutritious UV rays, besides getting the benefits of the healthy fresh air. What to stay away from are windy days, ( if your cham cage is not secure and can blow away), dry temperatures with little humidity, extreme heat (for me it's past 90 degrees) or cold (below 50's- depending if it's in the sun and for a short duration), predators such as birds, raccoons, cats, dogs, etc. Watch your chameleon to check it's comfort level of distress or pleasure. I found this pop-up tent at a bargain price if you could use it to protect your chameleon while outdoors from the elements and also for privacy. It can be found here and is a Spring Sale.

11/9/2016 1 Comment New Baby chameleon masoalaThis baby hatched 17 days after his siblings. He was a stranger to them so at first they all lined up in a row-away from him, thinking he was a monster, lol. He was much tinier then the rest, so it shows how they can grow after just 17 days.
#babychameleon #babymasoala #pantherchameleonforsale Join us at the Lodi Reptile Show April 16th & 17th ! Come by and say 'Hi ' , I'll be having a booth there selling a few of my holdback babies (both male and female) and a couple of my sub-adult panthers, (All ambiloble panther chameleons)
I need to let them GO because unfortunately, I can't keep them all !! I will also be selling chameleon necklaces Here is more information about the Lodi Reptile Show This 5 mos old boy was considered the runt of his siblings. He hardly moved- was very shy, didn't eat much, always had his left eye closed most of the time, (because of his closed eye- I didn't want to sell him because I questioned his health), and was always a solid dark green color. After he had his own cage, he blossomed. His eyes are always alert, his appatite is huge, he bobs at the girls, he's now larger & more colorful than all of his siblings having produced vibrant colors- every color of the rainbow! I'm glad I didn't sell him ;)
